Who we are

We're a licensed & insured garage door company based at 215 N Washington Ave in downtown Minneapolis, serving the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro and western Wisconsin, up to 80 miles from downtown. The work covers the whole system this region actually has: torsion springs matched to measured door weight, cables and tracks, openers, panel and full-door replacement, insulated steel doors for attached garages, 24/7 emergency response, and commercial bay and rolling steel doors for businesses.

Meet the owner

David Gordon, Owner. David runs Twin City Overhead Door and runs its dispatch, which is the part customers feel. When you're promised a window, that promise has a name attached to it; when something goes sideways on a job, the escalation path is one person long. The company is deliberately simple: dispatchers answer, techs diagnose and quote in writing, and nobody earns a commission for talking you into a bigger job than the door needs.

Why owner-run dispatch matters

Most of what goes wrong in this trade goes wrong between the phone call and the driveway: the quoted range that mutates on arrival, the "technician" who's actually a commissioned closer, the 4-hour window nobody honors. How we work

2. Text ETA. The tech's name and an honest arrival window, updated if the schedule shifts.
3. Written quote, your sign-off. A fixed price in writing before any work. Decline it and the tech packs up.
4. Repair, tested. Minimum 5 full open-close cycles, a balance test, and a safety-reverse test before we call it done.
