Pick your city below for local detail — the housing stock, the garage types, and what garage doors in that part of the metro actually deal with. Every city page links straight to the services people there call about most.
How dispatch works across the metro
We dispatch from 215 N Washington Ave in downtown Minneapolis, in bands. The core and inner ring — Minneapolis, St. Paul and the first ring of suburbs — runs 30–60 minutes to a truck in the driveway. The outer suburbs in every direction run 60–90 minutes. Full coverage extends up to 80 miles from downtown, including the St. Croix Valley and western Wisconsin towns like Hudson and River Falls. Those are honest operating bands, not marketing: on a normal day most calls placed before 5 PM get same-day service, and on the year’s worst days — the first hard cold snap, the morning after a storm — the dispatcher will tell you straight if the earliest honest slot is the evening. Call (888) 260-8770 and you’ll get a real ETA for your address, not a script.
Wherever the truck rolls, the visit is identical: a live dispatcher takes the symptoms, you get a phone-quote range from our published pricing, a text with the tech’s name and window, a written fixed-price quote to sign before any work, and a door cycled, balance-checked and safety-tested before we leave. Distance changes the drive time — never the process.
Every City We Serve, by Region
Minneapolis Core
The city itself: alley garages with inches of side room, post-war single-car doors in nonstandard openings, and the fastest dispatch band we run — most core addresses see a truck in 30–60 minutes.

Common doors: single-car alley garage doors, insulated steel double doors on remodels, older non-insulated steel doors due for upgrade. Local pressures: -20°F cold snaps that tend to cluster torsion-spring failures in the first deep freezes of the season.
St. Paul & East Metro
St. Paul's post-war stock and the eastern suburbs out through Woodbury — a mix of original single-car garages and newer construction, all inside the 30–90 minute dispatch bands.

Common doors: detached-garage single doors on older city blocks, 16-ft insulated doors on newer construction, insulated steel double doors. Local pressures: streetcar-era detached garages settling on old slabs, throwing tracks out of alignment.

North Metro
Anoka, Blaine, Coon Rapids and the northern tract suburbs — commuter households where a dead door at 6:45 AM is the day's first emergency, and big attached garages where heat loss shows up on the bill.

Common doors: insulated steel double doors, 16-ft insulated doors on newer construction, original builder-grade doors due for replacement. Local pressures: the coldest overnight lows in the metro, which is when brittle springs tend to let go.

West Metro
Plymouth, Maple Grove, Minnetonka and the western suburbs — newer housing stock with heavy 16-foot insulated doubles, where spring spec and strut reinforcement matter as much as style.

Common doors: 16-ft insulated doors on newer construction, custom and carriage-style doors on lake-area homes, insulated steel double doors. Local pressures: heavy snow loads and freeze-thaw cycles icing tracks and thresholds on lake-area homes.

South Metro
Bloomington, Burnsville, Lakeville, Eagan and the southern arc — everything from 1960s originals aging out of their hardware to brand-new construction on the growing southern edge.

Common doors: insulated steel double doors, 16-ft insulated doors on newer construction, original tract doors reaching replacement age. Local pressures: subzero snaps that catch original 1970s-90s tract springs at the end of their cycle life.
St. Croix Valley & Western WI
Stillwater, Hudson, River Falls and the river towns — the far band of our 80-mile dispatch range, covered honestly: longer drive times, same written quote, same tested repair.

Common doors: detached-garage single doors on historic blocks, insulated steel double doors, 16-ft insulated doors on newer construction. Local pressures: river-valley freeze-thaw swings that ice thresholds and swell tracks out of square.
Neighborhoods we work in every week
City pages cover the suburbs; inside Minneapolis and St. Paul the work is neighborhood by neighborhood. Crews are regularly in River Falls (college river town on our western Wisconsin dispatch range), New Richmond (growing St. Croix County city we reach on scheduled routes), Somerset (Apple River town just past the launch radius, served by appointment), Chisago City (lakes-area homes north of Forest Lake on our northern route), Cambridge (county-seat homes reached on scheduled northern-route visits), Big Lake (Northstar-corridor commuter town northwest of Elk River), Monticello (I-94 corridor river town on our northwest dispatch range), Buffalo (county seat on the western edge of our scheduled service range), Northfield (historic college town south of Lakeville, served by appointment), Red Wing (river-bluff city at the far southeast of our dispatch range) — and if your block isn’t named here, that’s a page we haven’t written, not a street we don’t serve.
Every service, everywhere we serve
Nothing on this map gets a reduced menu. Every city and neighborhood above gets the full slate: same-day repair, torsion spring replacement, opener repair, cables and tracks, 24/7 emergency response, commercial bay doors, tune-ups, and new doors with full installation. The trucks carry the common residential parts regardless of which direction they drive, so most repairs finish in one visit in Hudson just as they do in Richfield.
Why the regions matter
Grouping the metro into six regions isn’t decoration — the housing stock genuinely changes, and the doors change with it. The Minneapolis core and much of St. Paul run to alley garages and post-war single-car doors in openings that predate modern standard sizes, where measurement and low-headroom hardware decide whether a job goes well. The north, west and south metro suburbs built bigger and newer: attached two- and three-stall garages with 16-foot insulated doubles, where spring spec, opener force limits and heat loss through the biggest moving panel of the house are the live issues. And the St. Croix Valley band adds river-town housing on both sides of the Wisconsin border, plus the honest reality of longer drive times at the edge of the 80-mile range. Same standard everywhere; different problems walking in the door.
Winter changes the map — here’s how we handle it
An 80-mile service map is easy to draw in July. The honest version accounts for January. Techs across Minnesota see spring-failure calls cluster in the first deep freezes, which means the days your door is most likely to quit are the same days everyone else’s does too — and the days a drive to Stillwater or Hudson takes longest. On those mornings dispatch triages honestly: trapped-car and stuck-open calls first, outer-band ETAs quoted with the road conditions priced in, and no promised window we can’t keep. What doesn’t change with the weather is the paperwork: the phone-quote range comes from the same published price list, the after-hours surcharge ($90–$160) is stated before a truck rolls, and the written fixed-price quote you sign is the number on the invoice — in Richfield or in River Falls, in July or in January.
Don’t see your city?
The list above is where we maintain dedicated pages, and it deliberately stops at what we can honestly serve — roughly 80 miles from downtown Minneapolis. If your town isn’t listed and you’re inside that radius, we almost certainly cover you and simply haven’t written the page yet. If you’re outside it, the honest answer may be a referral rather than a long drive billed to you. Either way the fastest path is the same: call (888) 260-8770, tell the dispatcher where you are, and get a straight yes-or-no with a realistic ETA — not a “we’ll see.”
